If this happens,immediately turn the steering wheelfrom side to side. If that does notunlock the steering column, turn theignition off, and then open the driverdoor. Then turn the vehicle back onand turn the steering wheel from sideto side for about 15 seconds. Thesteering column must be turned toeach side immediately after pressingENGINE START/STOP to help thesteering column lock device unlockthe column. In some situations it maytake significant force.
