Do not allowcontaminants to contact the fluids,reservoir caps, or dipsticks.Bonnet{ WarningGas struts and other metalcomponents under the bonnet canget hot after running the engine. Donot touch these components asthey can burn unprotected skin andcould cause serious injury.Clear any snow from the bonnetbefore opening.To open the bonnet:1. Pull the bonnet release handle.It is on the lower left side of theinstrument panel between thedoor and the steering wheel.2. Release the handle, then pull thehandle again to fully open thebonnet.3. Go to the front of the vehicle andlift the bonnet open.CautionBe sure the bonnet is completelyclosed before driving. Damage mayoccur if it is not.To close the bonnet:1. Before closing the bonnet, besure all filler caps are properlyinstalled.2. Lower the bonnet approximately46 cm (18 in) from the closedposition.3. Then push the front centre of thebonnet with a swift, firm motion.4. Check to make sure the bonnet isclosed. If not, release the bonnetfrom inside and repeat Steps 1–3.
