Turning Power ON and OffIntroductionIt is critical for the printer to remain powered ON at all times. Power is required in periods ofinactivity so the printer can perform automatic functions to maintain its operating state. If thesefunctions do not take place, damage to critical components can occur. However, it may benecessary on occasion to cycle power on the printer or to recover from a power outage.How to Power ONProcedure1. Ensure the AC power plug is properly seated in its receptacle and that no loose objects caninterfere with any moving parts on the printer.2. Turn the printer AC power switch to the On position.3. Turn on AC power switch for the vacuum pump box (if you have the High Flow Vacuum model).4. Turn on power for the control station LCD monitor, if necessary.NOTEDuring the boot-up procedure, the printer software is automatically started. Thesoftware displays a splash screen. The splash screen will show initialization messagesand then the Print Job Control screen appears. The initialization is complete when thetop left panel of the display shows "Ready". Your printer is now ready for use.How to Power Off1. Turn OFF the UV lamps and wait for the lamps to cool down (the lamp fans will stop once thelamps have cooled down).2. Click the Shutdown icon in the Tools and Utilities tab.3. Turn the printer AC power switch to the OFF position.4. Turn the vacuum box AC power off (if the HFV model).IMPORTANTDo not leave the printer powered OFF for longer than 30 minutes.Power and compressed air are required in periods of inactivity so the printer canperform automatic functions to maintain its operating state. If these functions do nottake place, damage to critical components can occur.
