1156Replacing a Toner Cartridge9 Hold the cartridge so the arrow printed on the cartridge is pointing forwards towardthe printer. Gently slide the toner cartridge into the printer as far as it will go.• You won’t be able to replace the cartridge if the cover is only partially open.• Make sure the transfer guide is closed before inserting the toner cartridge.Protective shutterWhen the toner cartridge is being installed or removed from the printer, thedrum’s protective shutter is open. Do not touch the photosensitive drum.Finger oil could cause a deterioration in print quality.
