1397Clearing Paper Jams5 When you have cleared the paper jam, replace the toner cartridge q. Let the cartridgefall back into position, making sure it is locked into place w, and close the top covere. Push the top cover down firmly with both hands to close it r.• If you install the toner cartridge without closing the transfer guide, theprinter and the toner cartridge will be damaged.• Please do not close the top cover by slamming it.6 Replace the paper cassette securely into the printer. Make sure the printer returns tothe state ready for printing, then resume printing.Be sure not to lift the cassette when sliding it in, as this may cause damageto the tracks.Toner may have stained the inside of the printer when the paper jam wasremoved, causing the first few printouts to appear dirty.
