111IntroductionUse the printer control panel buttons when you need to:n Take the printer off-line and put it back on-line.n Set up the printing environment so the computer can communicate with the hostcomputer or solve a problem causing a printer error.n Select test prints so you can visually check the operation of the printer and print alist of the configuration settings.n Reset the printer to the factory defaults.n Print a list of printer resident fonts or permanently downloaded soft fonts.n Make other print selection your software application does not allow.The printer must be off-line before you can use buttons other than Go on theprinter control panel. If an invalid key is pressed, the control panel willdisplay the message KEY NOT VALID as a warning.
