PriorityYou may transmit on the Priority channel. Priority + TalkBackYou can transmit on the Priority channel duringScan. However, when Scan pauses on a Channel,you can transmit on the paused Channel.5.2.5 Dropout Delay TimeThe transceiver pauses Scan when a call is received.The Dropout Delay Time is the time from when thereceived signal ends to when the transceiverresumes Scan.5.2.6 Dwell TimeThe transceiver pauses Scan when the PTT switch ispressed. The Dwell Time is the time from when thePTT switch is released to when the transceiverresumes Scan.5.2.7 Group Scan5.2.7.1 Single ScanThe transceiver scans only the selected Group andchecks for the presence of signals on the Channelsadded to the Scan List. It also checks whether or notthe received QT/DQT matches the programmedQT/DQT.You must select “Single” to activate this function.The Group Add function is disabled when the SingleScan is selected. This function scans only theselected Group.5.2.7.2 Multi ScanThis function scans all in the Groups added to theScan List and all the Channels in those groups thatare added to the Scan List using the FPU or bypressing the [Scan/Del] key.You must select “Multi” to activate this function. Therequirements for operating Scan are the same as forSingle Scan.The transceiver scans the Priority Channel everytime.5.2.8 Off Hook ScanThis function allows you to select whether or not toexecute Scan when the microphone is in the Off Hookposition. When Off Hook Scan is disabled:The transceiver does not activate Scan if themicrophone is in the Off Hook position.Scan pauses on the Revert Channel when themicrophone moves from the On Hook to the OffHook position.Scan resumes when the microphone returns tothe On Hook position. Microphone HookThere is a metal hook on the back of themicrophone (KMC-30/KMC-32).Normally, the negative terminal of the vehiclebattery is grounded to the metal of the vehicle sothat the hook of the microphone enters the OnHook status when it touches the metal portion ofthe vehicle.
