257 FleetSync7.1 Overview“FleetSync” is an MSK messaging protocol used fordata communications and unit identification. The TK-7100/8100H only supports the FleetSyncPTT ID encode function and Emergency. You must select “Edit > Optional Features > PTT IDType > MSK”.The PTT ID of the FleetSync is transmitted when thePTT switch is pressed and / or released on a Channelprogrammed with PTT ID.The TK-7100H/8100H does not have the FleetSyncdecode function; you must use transceivers such asthe TK-780/880 to receive the PTT ID. This will allowthe caller ID to be viewed when the PTT ID isreceived.Transceivers that have the FleetSync decodefunction can output the received PTT ID through thecommunication port and transmit the data to a PC.With this function, the dispatcher may monitorcommunications in real time. The PTT ID transmittedfrom the communication port is used to administratethe communications log.7.2 Description of Function7.2.1 Fleet-IDYou must program a FleetSync ID for eachtransceiver, in order to use FleetSync. The FleetSyncID consists of a 3-digit Fleet number and a 4-digit IDnumber. You can program the Fleet number between 100 and349, and the ID number between 1000 and 4999.7.2.2 Data TX Modulation DelayTimeThe Data TX Modulation Delay Time is the time fromwhen data transmission begins and the MSK Data issent.7.2.3 FleetSync Baud RateThe FleetSync Baud Rate is the data baud rate of theMSK Modem. The FleetSync Baud Rate configuration of both thetransmitting and receiving parties must be the sameto complete communications. 1200bpsThis setting is suitable for regularcommunications. 2400bpsWith this setting, you can transmit more data in ashorter time, as compared with 1200bps.However, errors are more likely to occur ascommunications are performed at high speeds.
