13 Internal Connector4413.2.5 Data Channel (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver operates on the Data Channel whenthe logic of the port is Low.You can program this terminal in Optional Features >Data Channel of the FPU.You can use this terminal in the KDS-100 and theKGP-2A/2B.The KDS-100 and KGP-2A/2B transmit data at a highlogic level so that the transceiver transmits on thenormal Group-Channel when communicating usingthe Microphone (KMC-30/KMC-32).This terminal becomes Low when transmitting datafrom the KDS-100 or KGP-2A/2B. Therefore, you canperform data communications without interferringwith other party’s communications.13.2.6 Monitor (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver unmutes when the Port is Low.13.2.7 Emergency (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver executes the same operation as if the[Emergency] key is pressed. An aftermarket switch may be installed near the footof the driver to use as the [Emergency] key. By doingso, the driver can easily execute the Emergencyoperation. You can connect the [Emergency] key to thetransceiver using the Connection Cable (KCT-39).13.2.8 Audio Mute (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver mutes the receiving signal when thePort is Low.You can use this function in the KDS-100 andKGP-2A/2B. ExampleThe KDS-100 uses the FleetSync individual callfunction. With this function, the KDS-100continues transmitting data at Low level throughthis terminal until it receives a call from thetransceiver. The transceiver mutes even if it findsa carrier or QT/DQT.13.2.9 Mic Mute (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver mutes the microphone even if it istransmitting when the port is at a Low logic level. The transceiver mutes the microphone whenperforming data communications using externaldevices. This prevents voice and datacommunications mixing with each other. You can use this terminal in the KDS-100 andKGP-2A/2B. ExampleNormally, this terminal is at a High logic level inthe KDS-100.You can communicate when the PTT switch ispressed. The KDS-100 switches the Mic Mute terminal andPTT terminal to a Low logic level and startstransmission. At this time, the transceiver mutes themicrophone.13.2.10 G1-CH1 Direct (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver moves to “Group 1 - Channel 1”when the port becomes Low.However, the “Group - Channel” is not stored as theLast Selected Channel.13.2.11 G1-CH2 Direct (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver moves to “Group 1 - Channel 2”when the port becomes a Low logic level. However, the “Group - Channel” is not stored as theLast Selected Channel.13.2.12 G1-CH3 Direct (Input)You may assign this input terminal to one of Port 1 ~Port 8.The transceiver moves to “Group 1 - Channel 3”when the port becomes a Low logic level.
