Programming Examples - 3Triggering Transients and ListsContinuous, pulse, and toggled transient modes respond to triggers as soon as the trigger is received. This is not the case for lists. Lists have an independent trigger system that is similar to the measurementtrigger system. This section describes the list trigger system. The measurement trigger system isdescribed under "Triggering Measurements".SCPI Triggering NomenclatureIn SCPI terms, trigger systems are called sequences. When more than one trigger system exists, theyare differentiated by naming them SEQuence1 and SEQuence2. SEQuence1 is the list trigger systemand SEQuence2 is the measurement trigger system. The electronic load uses aliases with moredescriptive names for these sequences. These aliases can be used instead of the sequence forms.Sequence Form AliasSEQuence1 LISTSEQuence2 ACQuireList Trigger ModelFigure 3-3 is a model of the list trigger system. The rectangles represent states. The arrows show thetransitions between states. These are labeled with the input or event that causes the transition to occur.INITIATED STATEIDLE STATEABORt*RCL*RSTTRIGGER RECEIVEDINITiate[:IMMediate]INITiate:CONTinuous OFFLIST STEP CHANGEINITiate:CONTinuous ONorList not complete andLIST:STEP ONCENOYESLIST:STEPAUTO?WAIT FOR DWELLTO COMPLETEDELAYING STATEDELAY COMPLETEDFigure 3-3.
