Loading Paper and Documents- 31 -Setup1Paper RecommendationsYour MFP will handle a variety of print media,including a range of paper weights and sizes.This section provides general advice on choice ofmedia, and explains how to use each type.The best performance will be obtained whenusing standard 75~90g/m2 paper designed foruse in copiers and laser printers.Use of heavily embossed or very rough texturedpaper is not recommended.Pre-printed stationery can be used, but theink must not offset when exposed to the highfuser temperatures used in the printing process. EnvelopesEnvelopes should be free from twist, curl or otherdeformations.They should also be of the rectangular flap type,with glue that remains intact when subjected tohot roll pressure fusing used in this type ofprinter. Window envelopes are not suitable. LabelsLabels should also be of the type recommendedfor use in copiers and laser printers, in which thebase carrier page is entirely covered by labels.Other types of label stock may damage theprinter due to the labels peeling off during theprinting process.Storing PaperStore paper in the following conditions tomaintain quality:z Inside a cabinet or other dry and dark placez On a flat surfacez Temperature: 20°Cz Humidity: 50% RH (relative humidity)Avoid placing:z Directly on the floorz In the direct sunlightz Near the inside of an exterior wallz On an uneven surfacez Where static electricity may be generatedz Where temperature rapidly changesz Near a printer, air conditioner, heater, or ductNotez Do not unwrap the paper until you are ready to use thepaper.z Do not leave paper unwrapped for a long period.
