Connecting to a Computer- 56 -Installing a Printer and Fax Driver(For Windows)Notez You must be logged in as an administrator to complete thisprocedure.1 Ensure that your machine is turned offand the USB cable is unplugged from thecomputer.2 Turn on the computer.3 Insert "Software DVD-ROM" into thecomputer.4 Click [Run setup.exe] after [AutoPlay] is displayed.If the [User Account Control] dialog boxappears, click [Yes].5 Select the language and then click[Next].6 Select the device of your machine, andthen click [Next].7 Read the license agreement and thenclick [I Agree].8 Read the "Environmental advice forUsers" and click [Next].9 Select the checkbox of the printer driver,fax driver or both you want to install, andclick the Install bunch button.Memoz By factory default, [PCL driver], [Scanner driver],and [ActKey] are selected.z All of drivers and software packages are installed bythe collective installation if their boxes are checked. Ifyou wish to install drivers and software separately,click the Install button at the right to them and followthe on-screen instructions.10 If the [Windows Security] dialog boxappears, click [Install this driversoftware anyway].11 When the instruction prompting toconnect the machine to the computerand turn on the machine appears, plugthe other end of the USB cable into thecomputer’s USB interface connector andturn on your machine.Notez Do not plug the USB cable into the network interfaceconnection.
