However, your machinecan transmit documents that have been subject to normalwear, such as documents with staple holes, letter folds andminor corner folds.• If you are not sure how a document will fax, try making acopy first on your machine (load the document face downand press the COPY key).• If your documents are very creased, torn, or crinkled, makea copy on a photocopier and send the copy instead. Youcan also use a photocopier to enlarge or reduce documentsbefore sending.Document SizeAll documents must have a minimum width of 148 mm and aminimum length of 128 mm. Documents cannot be wider than216 mm or longer than 356 mm.Note: If you often have documents longer than 356 mm,your dealer may be able to adjust your machine to scanand transmit documents up to 1500 mm in length. Pleasebe aware that adjusting the length setting to 1500 mmcancels detection of multiple document misfeeds.Multiple Page DocumentsYour machine can scan paper with a base weight between 50gsm and 105 gsm. You can load up to 20 sheets of standard 80gsm paper (e.g. photocopier paper) at the same time. If you usea heavier paper, you can load up to 15 sheets. For very heavypaper, manually load sheets and send pages sheet-by-sheet.When loading several pages for transmission, paper thickness shouldbe between 0.08 mm and 0.13 mm. For single page transmission, paper thickness can be between 0.06 mm and 0.15 mm.Loading DocumentsTo prevent paper jams and problems during scanning, neatlystack your documents, aligning their edges, before loading. Donot load documents of different sizes at the same time.Note: You can load and prepare to transmit a documentwhile your machine is still sending or receiving anothermessage (as long as the document feeder is clear). To dothis, load the document, select your location and pressthe START key. Your document will be scanned intomemory and sent when the current communication ends.
