Insert the included SD card into the SD card slot on the rearpanel. Be careful not to forcibly insert the card in the wrongdirection. Doing so could damage the SD card slot or the SDcard.2. Connect the supplied AC adapter (PS-P1220E) to the DC IN12V jack on the rear panel.AC outletDC plugPS-P1220ECAUTIONAlways use the included PS-P1220E AC adapter.Use of a different adapter could cause malfunction, fire orelectric shock.3. Connect headphones to the PHONES jack on the frontpanel.Headphones4. Press and hold the STANDBY/ON button for a few secondson the rear panel to turn the power ON. When the unit starts,the Home screen appears on the display.Start-up screenHome screenCAUTION• Do not remove or insert an SD card when the power is ON.Always turn the power OFF (standby) before removing orinserting an SD card.• When the power is on, do not cut the power to the unit by,for example disconnecting the power cord. All settings madesince the last time you saved will not be saved. If you cut thepower while an SD card is being accessed, all recorded songsand data may be damaged and cannot be recovered.• Before turning the power ON, minimize the headphonesvolume and the volume on any monitoring systemconnected to this unit.TIPIf an amplifier or powered speakers are connected to theMONITOR OUT jacks, you can monitor using speakers.Listening to the demo songThe included SD card in the unit contains a demo song. Wewill use this demo song to practice listening to and mixing arecording.1. Press the HOME button to open the Home screen.
