Set the IN point and the OUT point you want to make thestart and end points of the repeat playback interval, andthen return to the Home screen.2. Press the REPEAT button.The icon appears on the Home screen, and repeatplayback starts.Repeat iconAfter the playback starts from the IN point and reaches theOUT point, it returns to the IN point and repeats.Playback continues to repeat between the IN and OUTpoints.3. To cancel the repeat playback, press the REPEAT button, sothat the icon disappears from the Home screen.Jumpback playbackPress the JUMPBACK (PREVIEW) button during playback tomove back a few seconds (adjustable) and restart playback(Jump back function).If you want to hear a passage again during playback, press theJUMPBACK (PREVIEW) button to go back a few seconds andreplay that passage.1. When the recorder is stopped, press the MENU button toopen the MENU screen.2. Use the JOG/DATA dial or the CURSOR (5/b/g/t)buttons to select (green highlight) PREFERENCE, andthen press the F4 (t) button.The PREFERENCE screen appears.3. Use the CURSOR (5/b) buttons to select (blue highlight)Jump Back, then use the JOG/DATA dial to set the valuefor the jump back playback.Options: 1 Sec to 10 Sec, 20 Sec, 30 Sec(Default: 3 Sec)4. After making the settings, press the HOME button to returnto the Home screen.5. Press the JUMPBACK button during playback to move backby the time set in step 3.Checking cueing points (preview)You can perform a playback to check whether the cueing isappropriately performed.1. When the recorder is stopped, press the MENU button toopen the MENU screen.2. Use the JOG/DATA dial or the CURSOR (5/b/g/t)buttons to select (green highlight) PREFERENCE, andthen press the F4 (t) button.The PREFERENCE screen appears.3. Use the CURSOR (5/b) buttons to select (blue highlight)Preview Time, then use the JOG/DATA dial to set thevalue for the preview playback.Preview Time: 1 Sec to 10 Sec(1 sec increments) (Default: 4 Sec)4. After making the settings, press the HOME button to returnto the Home screen.5. Perform preview playback using either of the followingmethods:While playback is stopped, holding the PREVIEW buttonand pressing the OUT button plays from the current time bythe preview time, returns, and then stops.While playback is stopped, holding the PREVIEW buttonand pressing the IN button plays from the time returned bythe preview time to the current time, and then stops.Automatic punching in and outYou can use the punch in/out function to perform an automaticrecord from the punch in to the punch out points you previouslyset .When performing the auto punch in/out recording, the playbackstarts from the pre-roll point before the start recording point(punch in point) and when punch in point is reached, therecord starts. After that, when the recording end point (punchout point) is reached, the unit switches to the playback of thepost-roll part and stops.In the auto punch in/out recording, the recording track monitorchanges as follows.• Pre-roll period: Track playback signal + input source signal• Punch in–out interval: Input source signal• Post-roll period: Track playback signal + input source signal
