Sigma II User’s Manual Chapter 5: Parameter Settings and Functions5-625.4 Setting Stop FunctionsThis section describes the procedure used to stop the servo amplifier properly.5.4.1 Adjusting Offset When the Servomotor Will Not StopThe servomotor may rotate at very low speed and not stop even when 0V is specifiedas the reference voltage for servo amplifier speed and torque control (analogreference). This happens when the reference voltage from the host controller orexternal circuit is slightly offset (in mV units). The servomotor will stop if thisoffset is properly adjusted to 0V. Reference Offset AdjustmentThe following methods can be used to adjust the reference offset to 0V.Note: Use manual rather than automatic adjustment if a position control loop is formed in the host con-troller.See the following sections in Chapter 7 Using the Digital Operator for more detailson adjustment procedures.Adjustment Method ResultAutomatic Adjustment of Reference Offset The reference offset is automatically adjusted to 0V.Manual Adjustment of Reference Offset The reference offset can be set to a specified value.Adjustment Method Reference SourceAutomatic Adjustment of ReferenceOffset 7.2.3 Automatic Adjustment of the Speed and Torque Reference OffsetManual Adjustment of ReferenceOffset 7.2.4 Manual Adjustment of the Speed and Torque Reference OffsetOffsetOffset adjustmentReferencevoltage ReferencevoltageReferencespeed ortorqueReferencespeed ortorqueOffsetcorrected bythe servoamplifier
