STARTUPAxio Scope.A1 Mounting the Standard Components Carl ZeissM60-2-0007 e 05/08 313.1.3 Mounting the Binocular Tube /Photo TubeAll binocular tubes listed in the systems overview(chapter 2 9 4 H 2 9 4 H 2.2) can be mounted on the microscopestand.• Loosen the hexagon socket screws (295H295HFig. 3-3/3)with the ball head screwdriver SW 3. Removethe dust cover caps (296H296HFig. 3-3/2 and 5) from thebottom of the tube and the dovetail ring socketon the stand.• Hold the binocular tube (297H297HFig. 3-3/1) or thebinocular photo tube at an angle and insert itinto the stand socket with the dovetail ring(2 9 8 H 2 9 8 H Fig. 3-3/4). Then push it into a horizontalposition. Turn the binocular tube into thedesired examination position and tighten thehexagon socket screws with the ball head screwdriver.3.1.4 Inserting Eyepieces or an AuxiliaryMicroscope• Remove both dust cover caps (2 9 9 H 2 9 9 H Fig. 3-4/1 and 4)from the binocular tube.• Remove both eyepieces (3 0 0 H 3 0 0 H Fig. 3-4/2) from thebox and insert them into the binocular tube tothe stop.• Instead of an eyepiece you may insert anauxiliary microscope (3 0 1 H 3 0 1 H Fig. 3-4/3) into one of thebinocular nozzles in order to examine aperture,phase and dark field diaphragms and to centerphase and dark field diaphragms.
