STARTUPCarl Zeiss Mounting Optional Components Axio Scope.A164 M60-2-0007 e 05/083.4.10 Inserting a Modulator Disk in theCondenser 0.9/1.25 H• Remove the condenser (580H580HFig. 3-50/1) from thecondenser carrier (see chapter 5 8 1 H 5 8 1 H 3.1.12).If the condenser cannot be lowered sufficiently,e.g. with mounted overview fixture, then itmight become necessary to remove it with thestage carrier, then lower it to the stop andremove the condenser.• Loosen the clamping screw (5 8 2 H 5 8 2 H Fig. 3-50/5) of thecondenser’s dial segment (5 8 3 H 5 8 3 H Fig. 3-50/3) with thescrewdriver (SW 3) and pull out the dialsegment.• Slide the modulator disk (584H584HFig. 3-50/4) with itstwo-pronged forked opening pointing forwardinto the condenser. Make sure that the diskengages in the guide on both inner sides of thecondenser. The guide serves as a stop for themodulator disk. The pin of the disk’s clampingscrew must slide into the orientation groove ofthe condenser.• Tighten the disk’s clamping screw with thescrewdriver (SW 3).• Replace the condenser into its carrier (seechapter 5 8 5 H 5 8 5 H 3.1.12).Fig. 3-50 Modulator disk in condenser0.9/1.25 H
