Then plug the transformer into anelectrical outlet.• Switch the HBO 50 illuminator on and off bypressing the power switch on the front of thepower supply unit. The lamp ignitesautomatically when switched on.3.1.17.3 Adjusting the HBO 50 illuminatorIf the Axio Scope.A1 is equipped with anadjustment aid (to be ordered separately), theHBO 50 can remain on the fluorescence reflectedlight illuminator when adjusting the burner.• Switch on the illuminator after mounting it fullyon the transformer. The burner ignitesautomatically.If the images of the light arc and thereflection overlap, the burner’s thermalload can increase. This may shorten itslifespan.• Make sure that the FL attenuator its set to100 % transmission.• Pull out the adjustment aid (4 6 7 H 4 6 7 H Fig. 3-30/4). Theadjusting aid’s display panel (468H468HFig. 3-30/5) showsthe burner’s light arc (in a lighter color) and itsreflection (slightly darker).• With the aid of the adjustment screw(4 6 9 H 4 6 9 H Fig. 3-30/1) adjust the burner axially to themirror so that both light arcs appear the samesize in the display panel of the adjustment aid(see 4 7 0 H 4 7 0 H Fig. 3-30/5).• With the aid of the adjustment screws center the light arc and its reflection vertically (4 7 1 H 4 7 1 H Fig. 3-30/3) andhorizontally (4 7 2 H 4 7 2 H Fig. 3-30/2) and position those in a parallel line within the adjustment circle of the displaypanel (473H473HFig. 3-30/5).
