MILES RANGE/Fuel Range: If you select this item, theapproximate number of remaining miles or kilometersyou can drive without refueling is displayed. Thisestimate is based on the current driving conditions andwill change if the driving conditions change. Forexample, if you are driving in traffic making frequentstops, the display may read one number, but if you enterthe freeway, the number may change even thoughyou still have the same amount of gas in the gas tank.This is because different driving conditions producedifferent fuel economies. Generally, freeway drivingproduces better fuel economy than city driving.If your vehicle is low on fuel, the Low Fuel Levelmessage will be displayed. See “Low Fuel LevelMessage” underDIC Warnings and Messages onpage 3-61 for more information.AVG MPH/Average Vehicle Speed: If you select thisitem, the average speed of the vehicle is displayed inmiles per hour (mph) or kilometers per hour (km/h). Thisaverage is calculated based on the various vehiclespeeds recorded since the last reset of this menu item.To reset AVG MPH using the Base audio system,press the CLR button located to the right of the screen.The display will return to zero.To reset the Average Vehicle Speed using the Navigationsystem, press and hold the multi-function button thatcorresponds to the Reset prompt in the upper right of thedisplay. The display will return to zero.TIMER/Timer: If you select this item, a timing feature isdisplayed. The timer functions like a stopwatch in thatyou can record the time it takes to travel from one pointto another.To use the timer, you must first turn it on. To turn on thetimer using the Base audio system, press the CLR buttonlocated to the right of the screen once. To turn on thetimer using the Navigation system, press themulti-function button next to the On/Off menu item in theupper right of the display. The display for both systemswill read 00:00:00 TIMER ON and begin counting.Press the button(s) again to turn the timer off. When thetimer is off, the display will show the timer value andTIMER OFF. The timing feature will stop.To reset the timer using the Base audio system, turn offthe timer and then press and hold the CLR button.The display will return to zero.To reset the timer using the Navigation system pressand hold the multi-function button next to the Resetprompt in the upper right of the display.
