If your vehicle is equipped with the rear seatpass-through door, do the following:1. Fold the rear armrest down and open thepass-through door. See “Rear-Seat Pass Through”following for more information.2. Reach upward through the opening to locate thetrunk release handle.3. Pull forward on the trunk release handle to openthe trunk lid.If your vehicle is equipped with the split folding rearseat, do the following:1. Fold down the rear seatback. SeeSplit FoldingRear Seat on page 1-7 for more information.2. Reach upward through the opening to locate thetrunk release handle.3. Pull forward on the trunk release handle to openthe trunk lid.Rear-Seat Pass ThroughIf your vehicle is equipped with the rear seat-passthrough door, you can access the trunk without openingthe trunk lid. This is especially useful when transportinglong items such as skis.To open the door, pull down the rear seat armrest.Then pull the lever all the way down to release the door.To close the panel, push the door up and back intoplace. Then try to open the door without pulling up onthe lever to make sure it is locked into place.Emergency Trunk Release HandleNotice: Using the emergency trunk release handleas a tie-down or anchor point when securing items inthe trunk may damage it. Use the emergency trunkrelease handle only to help you open the trunk lid.There is a glow-in-the-dark emergency trunk releasehandle located on the back wall of the trunk. This handlewill glow following exposure to light. Pull the releasehandle toward the front of the vehicle to open the trunkfrom the inside.2-13
