This light located on theinstrument panel clusterwill come on whilethe sport mode is active.When driving in sport mode, the transmission mayremain in a gear longer than it would in normal drivingmode. Also, if the transmission is in AUTOMATICOVERDRIVE (D) when the sport mode button ispressed, the transmission will immediately downshiftinto FOURTH (4) gear to provide more power. Both ofthese situations are normal and do not indicate atransmission problem.When you turn off the ignition while driving in sportmode, the vehicle will remain in sport mode. Ifyour vehicle is equipped with the memory feature, thetransmission mode (sport or normal) will be savedwith the memory seat position. Press the sport modebutton again to turn off the feature and return to normaldriving mode.Winter Driving Mode Button(Automatic Transmission)This feature provides more traction during slipperyconditions by using THIRD (3) gear when you beginto accelerate from a stopped position.The winter driving modebutton is located on thecenter console nearthe transmission shift lever.Press this button once to turn on the winter drivingmode feature. Press it again to turn the feature off.The winter driving mode feature works when the vehicleis in any gear except SECOND (2).2-31
