Audio System(s)Notice: Before you add any sound equipment toyour vehicle – like a tape player, CB radio, mobiletelephone or two-way radio – be sure you canadd what you want. If you can, it’s very importantto do it properly. Added sound equipment mayinterfere with the operation of your vehicle’s engine,radio or other systems, and even damage them.Your vehicle’s systems may interfere with theoperation of sound equipment that has been addedimproperly.So, before adding sound equipment, check withyour dealer and be sure to check federal rulescovering mobile radio and telephone units.Your audio system has been designed to operate easilyand to give years of listening pleasure. You will getthe most enjoyment out of it if you acquaint yourself withit first. Figure out which radio you have in your vehicle,find out what your audio system can do and how tooperate all of its controls to be sure you’re getting themost out of the advanced engineering that went into it.Your vehicle has a feature called Retained AccessoryPower (RAP). With RAP, you can play your audiosystem even after the ignition is turned off. See“Retained Accessory Power (RAP)” underIgnitionPositions on page 2-22.Setting the Time1. Press the TUNE/SEL knob to enter the main menu.2. Turn the TUNE/SEL knob until SET CLOCKappears on the display.3. Press the TUNE/SEL knob to select SET CLOCK.4. Turn the TUNE/SEL knob to adjust the time.5. Press the TUNE/SEL knob to update the time.VEHICLE TIME UPDATED will appear on thedisplay.If the CLOCK/RADIO DISP is configured into one of theconfigurable keys, pressing the key will switch thedisplay between the radio station frequency and thetime.
