While using the DSC feature the vehicle will have firmershifting and increased performance. You can use thisfor sport driving or when climbing/descending hillsto stay in gear longer or to down shift for more power orengine braking.The transmission will only allow you to shift into gearsappropriate for the vehicle speed and engineRevolutions Per Minute (RPM). The transmission willnot automatically shift to the next higher gear if theengine rpm is too high.If shifting is prevented for any reason, the currentlyselected gear will flash multiple times, indicating that thetransmission has not shifted gears.The transmission will allow you to shift to the gearselected and will automatically downshift whenthe vehicle comes to a stop. This will allow for morepower during take-off and passing.When accelerating your vehicle from a stop in snowyand icy conditions, you may want to shift into secondgear. A higher gear allows you to gain more traction onslippery surfaces.Parking BrakeThe parking brake pedal islocated on the lowerportion of the instrumentpanel to the left of thesteering wheel.This vehicle has a push-to-release parking brake pedal.To set the parking brake, hold the regular brakepedal down with your right foot and push the parkingbrake pedal down with your left foot.If the ignition is on, the brake system warning light onthe instrument panel cluster should come on.
