Vehicle PersonalizationYour vehicle has personalization that allows you toprogram certain features to a preferred setting for up totwo drivers. The back of the keyless access transmittersare labelled 1 or 2. Additional keyless accesstransmitters programmed to the vehicle, as 3 and/or 4,do not have a number on the back and are notcapable of being personalized. The number ofprogrammable features varies depending upon whichvehicle options are purchased.On all vehicles, features such as climate controlsettings, radio and XM™ preset settings, exterior lightingat unlock and remote lock unlock confirmation, andlanguage have already been programmed for yourconvenience. Your vehicle also has an automatic doorlocking feature that is always on. You cannot turnthe automatic door locking feature off. SeeProgrammable Automatic Door Locks on page 2-13.Some vehicles have additional features that canbe programmed including the seat, steering column, andoutside rearview mirror position.If your vehicle has the base audio system, the followinginformation explains the vehicle personalization onyour vehicle.If your vehicle has the Navigation system, see“Personalization” in the Index of the Navigation Systemmanual for information on vehicle personalization.If your vehicle has the ability to program additionalpersonalization features, the driver’s preferencesare recalled by pressing any button on the keylessaccess transmitter, 1 or 2, by selecting Driver 1 or 2 onthe radio display, or when a valid keyless accesstransmitter is detected upon opening the driver’s door.If more than one valid keyless access transmitter isdetected upon opening the driver’s door, the driverpreferences for the lowest driver number will be recalled.Certain features can be programmed not to recall untilthe ignition is turned off.To change feature preferences, use the followingprocedure.Entering the Personal Settings MenuTo enter the feature programming mode, use thefollowing procedure:1. Be sure the ignition is either on, in ACC position, orin RAP and place the transmission in PARK (P) orthe vehicle speed is less than 6 mph (9 km/h).2.
