Turn and Lane-Change SignalsTo signal a turn, move the lever all the way up or down.The lever returns automatically when the turn iscomplete.An arrow on the instrumentpanel cluster will flash inthe direction of theturn or lane change.Raise or lower the lever until the arrow starts to flash tosignal a lane change. Hold it there until the lanechange is complete. The lever returns to its originalposition when it’s released.Arrows that flash rapidly when signaling for a turn orlane change may be caused by a burned-out signal bulb.Other driver’s won’t see the signal.Replace burned-out bulbs to help avoid possibleaccidents. Check the fuse and for burned-out bulbs ifthe arrow fails to work when signaling a turn. See Fusesand Circuit Breakers on page 5-105 for more information.Turn Signal On ChimeIf the turn signal is left on for about 1 mile (1.6 km), awarning chime will sound and the Turn Signal Onmessage will appear on the Driver Information Center(DIC) display. See “Turn Signal On” under DIC Warningsand Messages on page 3-79 for more information.Headlamp High/Low-Beam ChangerPush forward on the turn signal/multifunction leverto change the headlamps from low to high beam. Pullthe lever back and then release it to change from high tolow beam.If you turn the vehicle off with the high beams on, thenext time you start your vehicle the low beams willbe on.To re-activate high beams, pull lever toward you andthen push it forward again.This light on theinstrument panel clusterwill be on, indicatinghigh-beam usage.3-8
