Stop all programs, including the AIX operating system.2. Remove all tapes, diskettes, and CD-ROMs.3. Turn off the system unit’s power.4. Set the key mode switch to the service position.5. Turn on the system unit’s power.6. Insert the diagnostic media drive.7. When the keyboard POST indicator displays, press the F5 key on the directlyattached keyboard, or the number 5 key on the TTY keyboard.8. Enter any requested passwords.9. Follow any instruction to select the console.10. After the diagnostic controller loads, DIAGNOSTIC OPERATING INSTRUCTIONSappear on the console display.11.
