K-M IX H ARDWARE504.2.7 – M AINThe [MAIN] button on K-Mix is used to enter “Mains Mode”, where you can set the audiolevels going to the main outputs, outputs 1 & 2.This is the default mode of K-Mix; when powered on for the first time it will be in this mode.Plug in, turn up the faders, and sound will be going out the mains.4.2.7.1 – W HAT D O T HE C ONTROLS D O ?F ADER B EHAVIORIn Mains Mode, faders 1–8 are used to control the amount of signal being passed to the main outputbus for input channels 1–8. The master fader is used to control the overall output level of outputs 1 &2.Move a fader up to increase the signal level; move it down to decrease the signal level.The faders can also be used for muting and soloing channels using the {SHIFT] button.R OTARY B EHAVIORIn Mains Mode, the rotary controls are used to show which channels have stereo pairing enabled.Two red LEDs will light (one at 9 o’clock and one at 3 o’clock) to indicate that the two channels beloware paired. No LEDs will be lit if the channels are not paired.C HANNEL S ELECT B UTTON B EHAVIORIn Mains Mode, the channel select buttons are used to represent the current mute/solo state ofeach channel. They do not respond to touch in this mode, they are merely for visual feedback. Eachchannel select button can be in one of four states:• Green = Normal (no mute, no solo)• Red = Muted• Yellow = Soloed• Blinking Yellow = Both muted and soloed4.2.7.2 – A DJUSTING A UDIO L EVELSAdjusting audio levels is simple — just move the faders up or down.• Moving a fader up increases the level.• Moving a fader down decreases the level.Faders 1–8 adjust the amount of signal getting sent to the main outputs (outputs 1 & 2). The masterfader adjusts the final output level of the mains.The output channels cannot be soloed, so the “Master” channel select button canonly be green or red.
