Page 4-12 V10/V7.5/V5/V3.5 Installation and Operation ManualIssue 3.5 Section 4 Testing and Adjustment(f) For V5/V3.5 transmitters only:Temporarily short A43TP44 (IPAForward Power sample) to ground. Achangeover to IPA PA A will occur. The system diagram IPA/PA alarm willturn on momentarily (until the reserveIPA’s output power exceeds the IPAForward Low threshold), the systemdiagram Changeover alarm will turnon, and the GUI will note the IPAchangeover alarm. The remoteinterface PWB’s CHGOV ALARM(TB1-8) – latching – and IPA/RF FailAlarm (J6-3) – momentary – outputsshould be an alarm condition (current-sink-to-ground). The remote interfacePWB’s IPA STATUS (TB1-16) outputwill be an open-collector. In the GUI’schangeover menu, set IPA PA A as themain IPA (see 3.6.13). The alarmsshould clear.4.3.6.4 IPA PS Auto Changeover Check(if applicable)If the transmitter has dual IPA PS modules(for V5/V3.5 transmitters), verify an IPA PSchangeover is initiated when a main(active) IPA PS fault occurs as follows:NOTEFor V5/V3.5 transmitters, the IPA PAchangeover is independent from the IPApower supply changeover (see 4.3.6.3).(a) Verify there are no existing alarms onthe control display panel and that thetransmitter is operating at rated power.(b) From the GUI’s changeover menu (see3.6.13), set the IPA PS Standbyoption to Y (yes).(c) For V5/V3.5 transmitters only: Setthe ON/STANDBY switch of IPA A’sswitching power supply (U1) to standby(toggle down). A changeover to IPApower supply module B will occur. Thesystem diagram Power Supply alarmwill turn on momentarily, the systemdiagram Changeover alarm will turnon, and the GUI will note the IPA PSchangeover alarm. The remoteinterface PWB’s CHGOV ALARM(TB1-8) and PS Fail Alarm (J6-2)outputs should be an alarm condition(current-sink-to-ground). The remoteinterface PWB’s IPA PS Status (J4-23)outputs will be a current-sink-to-ground. Set the ON/STANDBY switchof IPA switching power supplymodule A to on (toggle up). In theGUI’s changeover menu, set IPA PS Bas the main IPA PS (see 3.6.13). Thealarms should clear.(d) For V5/V3.5 transmitters only: Setthe ON/STANDBY switch of IPA B’sswitching power supply (U2) to standby(toggle down). A changeover to IPApower supply module A shall occur. The system diagram Power Supplyalarm will turn on momentarily, thesystem diagram Changeover alarmwill turn on, and the GUI will note theIPA PS changeover alarm. The remoteinterface PWB’s CHGOV ALARM(TB1-8) and PS Fail Alarm (J6-2)outputs should be an alarm condition(current-sink-to-ground). The remoteinterface PWB’s IPA PS Status (J4-23)outputs shall be an open-collector. Setthe ON/STANDBY switch of IPAswitching power supply module B to on(toggle up). In the GUI’s changeovermenu, set IPA PS A as the main IPAPS (see 3.6.13). The alarms shouldclear.4.3.6.5 Fan Supply Auto ChangeoverCheck (if applicable)If the transmitter has dual fan supplymodules, verify a fan supply changeover isinitiated when the main (active) fan supplyfails as follows:(a) Verify there are no existing alarms onthe control/display panel and that thetransmitter is operating at rated power.
