V10/V7.5/V5/V3.5 Installation and Operation Manual Page 2-15Section 2 Preparation for Use and Installation Issue 3.52.2.17.4 Active IPA StatusA status output that indicates which IPA(Module for V10/V7.5, PA for V5/V3.5) is theactive IPA is available on TB1-16 (IPASTATUS). A logic true condition is presentwhen IPA 'B' is enabled as the active IPA. Alogic false condition is present when IPA 'A'is enabled as the active IPA.2.2.17.5 Active IPA Power Supply StatusA status output that indicates which IPApower supply module is enabled as theactive IPA supply is available on J4-23. Alogic true condition is present when IPApower supply 'B' is enabled as the active IPAsupply. A logic false condition is presentwhen IPA power supply 'A' is enabled as theactive IPA supply.2.2.17.6 Active Fan Power Supply StatusA status output that indicates which fanpower supply is enabled as the active fansupply is available on J4-24. A logic truecondition is present when fan supply 'B' isenabled as the active fan supply. A logicfalse condition is present when fan supply 'A'is enabled as the active fan supply.2.2.17.7 Preset StatusSix preset status outputs (one for eachavailable preset), are available on J4-15(preset 1) through J4-20 (preset 6). A logictrue condition is present for only the selectedpreset. A logic false condition is present forthe remainder of the presets.2.2.17.8 Transmitter Ready StatusA status output that indicates the LVPS isproducing a regulated +5 V and the controlfunctions are operable is available onTB1-13 (XMTR READY STATUS). A logictrue condition is present when the controlfunctions are operable. A logic falsecondition is present when the controlfunctions are not operable.2.2.17.9 Valid Data StatusA status output that indicates communicationbetween the control/monitor PWB andremote interface PWB is available on J4-26.A logic true condition is present whencommunication exists. A logic false conditionis present when communication is lost.2.2.17.10 +15 V SupplyA +15 V dc voltage for remote control/monitoring circuitry is available on TB1-18(+15V). Current draw from this circuit islimited to 0.5 A by a PTC thermistor.2.2.18 Parts Supplied by NautelAn ancillary parts kit is provided with eachtransmitter. These parts are provided toensure initial installation is not delayed dueto lost or damaged parts, and to allow theuser to maintain the equipment until acomprehensive maintenance spares kit isobtained. These parts are not intended to belong-term maintenance spares. Detailedinformation about these parts is not includedin this manual. The contents of the ancillaryparts kit are itemized in the packing list.Connectors for remote control/monitor wiringand a hex key wrench for ac wiring areincluded in the ancillary kit.2.2.19 Parts Not Supplied by NautelSome parts and materials required forinstallation are not supplied with thetransmitter, or are not provided by Nautel. Each installation will dictate the partsrequired, but users will normally need tosupply the following:• A suitable 50 Ω RF output coaxial cable, terminated by the appropriate RFconnector, complete with an inner maleconnector at the transmitter end.• All external control/monitor wiring, including the associated terminatingdevices and conduit clamps.• All electrical power cables, includingconduit, terminating devices, and conduitclamps.2.2.20 Test Equipment and SpecialToolsThe test equipment and special toolsrequired to install and maintain thetransmitter are listed in Table 1-2.
