Theremote interface PWB’s Preset 1Status pin (J4-15) will be a current-sink-to-ground.4.3.5.8 Remote Power Trim ControlVerify the RF output power can be trimmedfrom a remote location as follows:(a) Verify 4.3.5.1 is complete.(b) The RF output, as displayed by the RFKILOWATTS meter and GUI, will berated power.(c) Verify local RF power control has noinfluence. Press/hold the Control -Decrease switch. The RF output willnot change. Release the Control -Decrease switch.NOTETo activate a remote power trim, hold theinput then release it. The output powerchanges upon release of the trim input.If the input is momentarily applied andreleased, the output power changes insmaller steps [in FM mode, increment is100 W (V10/V7.5) or 50 W (V5/V3.5); inFM+HD or HD mode, increment is 1% ofrated transmitter power (see 2.2.13.7)] untilreaching minimum or maximum power.If the input is applied, held for more thanthree seconds and released, the outputpower changes in larger steps [in FMmode, increment is 1000 W (V10/V7.5) or500 W (V5/V3.5); in FM+HD or HD mode,increment is 10% of rated transmitterpower (see 2.2.13.7)] until reachingminimum or maximum power.(d) Remotely decrease the RF output.Repeatedly activate a remote PowerDecrease input to remote interfacePWB's EXT PWR DECR terminal(s)[TB4-9 (+)/TB4-10 (-)].(e) The RF output, as displayed by the RFKILOWATTS meter and GUI, willdecrease to its minimum power level.(f) Verify local RF power control has noinfluence. Press/hold the Control -Increase switch. The RF output will notchange. Release the Control -Increase switch.(g) Remotely increase the RF output.Repeatedly activate a remote PowerIncrease input to remote interfacePWB's EXT PWR INCR terminals(s)[TB4-7 (+)/TB4-8 (-)].(h) The RF output, as displayed by the RFKILOWATTS meter and GUI, willincrease to its maximum power level.(i) Remotely decrease the RF output torated power.
