V10/V7.5/V5/V3.5 Installation and Operation Manual Page 4-9Section 4 Testing and Adjustment Issue 3.54.3.5.9 Remote Reset ControlVerify the alarms can be cleared from aremote location as follows:(a) Verify the prerequisites of 4.3.5.1 arecomplete and are being met.(b) The RF output, as displayed by the RFKILOWATTS meter and GUI, will berated power.(c) Inhibit RF power module A’s powersupply by setting the ON/STANDBYswitch of power supply module A tostandby (toggle down). Power supplymodule A will turn off and thetransmitter output power will reduce.(d) Press the Status soft-key to see thepower supply related alarm registeredon the GUI. Set the ON/STANDBYswitch of power supply module A to on(toggle up). Remotely activate aremote Reset input to remote interfacePWB's RESET terminal(s) [TB3-11 (+)/TB3-12 (-)].(e) The RF output, as displayed by the RFKILOWATTS meter and GUI, willincrease to its original value and thealarm will clear.4.3.5.10 NxLink ControlVerify the NxLink (if installed) provides aremote connection to the transmitter asfollows:(a) Connect a cable between the remoteinterface PWB’s 9-pin D-sub connectorA44J8 and a computer with a webbrowser installed (e.g., InternetExplorer).(b) Enter the GUI’s NxLink Configurationscreen (see 3.6.12.9) and record theDHCP’d Address.(c) Enter the address from step (b) into theweb browser’s address bar. Thetransmitter’s remote diagnostic webpage should appear.(d) Enter the user name root and thepassword nautel (both lower case)and verify you can access theapplication. Log out of the application.NOTEParagraphs 4.3.6 through 4.3.6.4 referencerated, minimum and maximum operatingpower levels for the transmitter. Use Table1-1 to determine the power levels for aspecific mode and transmitter.4.3.6 Protection Circuit ChecksVerify the fault detector circuits that monitorcritical parameters of the transmitter andprotect the RF power stages arefunctioning within their design limits, asfollows:NOTEThere is no practical way to control the acsource voltage. It is also not practical tosimulate faults in the RF drive circuits orRF output stages without risk to the solidstate devices in the RF power amplifierstages. The following are go/no go tests offault detection circuits that monitor voltagesrepresenting critical parameters. For all alarm conditions, the remoteinterface PWB’s SMY (summary) ALARMoutput (TB1-4) is a current-sink-to-ground.(a) Select local control. Press Control -Local switch noting its integral lampturns on and the Control - Remoteswitch's lamp turns off. All other statuslamps will remain the same.(b) Ensure the RF output displayed on theRF KILOWATTS meter and GUI israted power.4.3.6.1 External InterlockVerify the RF output is inhibited when theexternal interlock circuit is not intact, asfollows:(a) Verify the prerequisites of 4.3.5.1 arecomplete and are being met.
