Allof the objects in the IP Group other than the IP AddressTranslation table are fully supported. The IP Groupobjects are not supported for the T1 interfaces andsynchronous data ports. The following sections provideclarification for objects contained in the IP Group when itis not clear how the object definition in MIB II is relatedto the DSU/CSU.IP Group – “ipForwarding” Object (ip 1)This object specifies whether the unit is acting as an IPgateway in respect to the forwarding of a datagramreceived by, but not addressed to, this unit. Only thefollowing value is supported by the DSU/CSU.• not-forwarding(2) – The unit is not acting as agateway.IP Group – “ipRoutingTable” Object (ip 21)The routing table used by the DSU/CSU is supportedas a read-only table. Entries in this table may not be addedor deleted.IP Group – “ipNetToMediaTable”Object (ip 22)This table is not supported.ICMP Group, MIB IIThe ICMP Group objects are fully supported by the T1DSU/CSU for the MODEM port and the COM port whenthe port is configured as the SNMP management link. TheICMP Group objects are not supported for the T1interfaces and synchronous data ports.UDP Group, MIB IIThe UDP Group objects are fully supported by the T1DSU/CSU for the MODEM port and the COM port whenthe port is configured as the SNMP management link. TheUDP Group objects are not supported for the T1 interfacesand synchronous data ports.Transmission Group, MIB IIObjects in the Transmission Group are supported onthe Network and DTE Drop/Insert T1 interfaces and thesynchronous data ports. The Transmission Group objectsare not supported on the COM and MODEM ports. Theobjects in the Transmission Group are not defined withinMIB II but rather through other Internet-standard MIBdefinitions. The following two Transmission Groupobjects are supported by the T1 DSU/CSU.• ds1 (transmission 18) – The transmission objectsupported on the T1 interfaces.• rs232 (transmission 33) – The transmission objectsupported on the synchronous data ports.The “ds1” transmission object is defined by theDS1/E1 MIB. The rs232 transmission object is defined bythe RS-232-like MIB.
