IP ApplicationIn this chapter, the IP application functions available in the APC and each configurationmethod are described.9.1 DNSThe DNS is a network service that interprets a domain or host name into an IP address.The APC gets DNS information from a DNS server and provides the DNS relay functionthat relays the DNS server and a client. If a wireless terminal connected to the APCconfigures the APC as a DNS server, it can receive the DNS service.If a DNS server is connected to the APC and a DNS proxy is configured, a stationconnected to the APC can receive the DNS service by configuring the APC as a DNS server.9.1.1 DNS Client ConfigurationConfiguration using CLI1) Go to configure mode of CLI.WEC8500# configure terminal2) Configure a DNS client. ip dns client enable: Enable no ip dns client enable: Disable3) Configure a DNS server to which DNS will be requested. You can enter maximum 3DNS server addresses. ip dns name-server [A.B.C.D]: Configures a DNS server. no ip dns name-server [A.B.C.D]: Deletes a configured DNS server. no ip dns name-server all: Deletes all the DNS servers.
