WEC8500/WEC8050 (APC) Operation Manual v10.1 47©Samsung Electronics AmericaInterface ConfigurationThe WEC8500 interface consists of the following physical interface and virtual interface:• Physical interface of 11 ports except console port• 1024 virtual interfaces using VLANThere are two types of WEC8050 interface as shown below; physical interface and virtualinterface:• Physical interface of 4 ports except console port• 128 virtual interfaces using VLANInterface ManagementThe WEC8500 Management port is used to manage the WEC8500. It doesnot support VLAN and its interface name is ‘mgmt0’. The 8 ports at the rightside of Management port are 10/100/1000 BASE T-ports and their namesare GE1-8.To the right side of the 10/100/1000 BASE T-ports, there are two Gigabitports, that is XE1 and XE2.Configuration using CLITo configure the interface related function, go to the interface mode by entering the‘interface [INTERFACE_NAME]’ command in the configure mode. An example of enteringinto the interface mode of the management port is shown below.WEC8500# configure terminalWEC8500/configure# interface mgmt0WEC8500/configure/interface mgmt0#The interface related CLI commands are as follows:[ip address]This is a command that configures a static IP address. The ‘no’ parameter is used todelete the configuration.• ip address {A.B.C.D/mask length}• no ip address {A.B.C.D} {A.B.C.D}• no ip address {A.B.C.D/mask length}[ip address dhcp]This is a command that configures a dynamic IP address using DHCP. The ‘no’ parameteris used to delete the configuration.• ip address dhcp• no ip address dhcp[shutdown]
