Thisprocedure requires specific repairskills, lifting equipment and asuitable workshop. Attemptingthis procedure without these skillsand tools could result in death orserious injury and significantcomponent damage. Dealerservice is strongly recommended.Note: When removing a hose assembly or fitting,the O-ring (if equipped) on the fitting and/or hoseend must be replaced. All connections must betorqued to specification during installation. Refer toSpecifications, Hydraulic Hose and Fitting TorqueSpecifications.Note: Perform this procedure with the machine ona firm, level surface and in the stowed position withthe axles extended.1 Tag, disconnect and plug the hydraulic hosesfrom the secondary boom lift cylinder. Thehoses can be accessed from under theturntable.Bodily injury hazard. Sprayinghydraulic oil can penetrate andburn skin. Loosen hydraulicconnections very slowly to allowthe oil pressure to dissipategradually. Do not allow oil tosquirt or spray.2 Remove the engine pivot plate retainingfastener. Swing the engine pivot plate outaway from the machine.1 engine pivot plate anchor hole2 engine pivot plate retaining fastener3 Locate the engine pivot plate anchor hole atthe pivot end of the engine pivot plate.4 Install the bolt that was just removed into theanchor hole to secure the engine pivot platefrom moving.Crushing hazard. Failure toinstall the bolt into the enginepivot plate to secure it frommoving could result in death orserious injury.5 Remove the retaining fasteners from the fixedturntable cover at the ground controls side ofthe machine. Remove the fixed turntablecover from the machine.6 Tag, disconnect and plug the fuel hoses fromthe fuel tank. Clean up any fuel that may havespilled.
