September 2015 Service ManualBoom ComponentsPart No. 218700 ZX-135/70 13925 Press the enter or previous button on theLCD screen until EXIT is displayed.26 Press the plus button to select YES, thenpress the enter button to accept.27 Turn the key back to the run position andremove the key from the bypass/recovery keyswitch. Insert the key into the main key switchand turn it to ground controls.Note: Be sure that the bypass/recovery key switchis in the run position before attempting to operatethe machine.28 Wait approximately 20 seconds and turn themachine off by pressing the red EmergencyStop button in.29 Remove the fastener that was temporarilyinstalled. Close the control box door and installthe door retaining fasteners.Note: When the control box door is closed, thecalibration toggle switch is automatically activatedto exit out of calibration mode.30 Pull out the red Emergency Stop button. Startthe engine and lower the boom to the stowedposition. Be sure there are no calibration faultsshown on the display.31 Perform secondary boom angle test. Refer toMaintenance Procedure in the appropriateService or Maintenance Manual, Test theSecondary Boom Angle Sensor.2 Point Calibration procedureNote: Use this procedure for software versions4.01 and higher.32 Push in the ground controls red EmergencyStop button to the off position. Do not turn thekey switch to the off position.33 Turn the key switch to ground controls.34 Open the ground control box.35 Locate the calibration toggle switch at the topof the ground control box. Activate calibrationmode by moving the toggle switch in the leftdirection.36 Temporarily install a control box door retainingfastener between the door and the box toprevent the control box door from moving thetoggle switch while calibrating the machine.37 Remove the key from the main key switch.Insert the key into the bypass/recovery keyswitch and turn it to the bypass position.Note: The angle sensor calibration values will notbe saved correctly unless the key switch is in thebypass position and the calibration toggle switch isactivated.38 Press and hold the enter button on the groundcontrol panel while pulling out the groundcontrols red Emergency Stop button to the onposition. Hold the enter button forapproximately 5 seconds and then releaseit.Enter sensor calibration mode by pressingthe buttons at the ground controls in thefollowing sequence:(plus)(enter)(enter)(plus).39 Press the enter or previous button on theLCD screen until DELETE SECONDARYBOOM ANGLE SENSOR CALIBRATION isdisplayed.40 Lower the secondary boom to the stowedposition.41 Press the enter or previous button on theLCD SCREEN UNTIL SECONDARY BOOMFULLY LOWERED is displayed.42 Press the plus button to select YES, thenpress the enter button to accept.43 Fully raise the secondary boom until it stops atthe end of the cylinder stroke.
