September 2015 Service ManualChecklist B ProceduresPart No. 218700 ZX-135/70 415 Push and release the rpm select button untillow rpm is selected (turtle symbol).Result: The engine should return to low idle.1 low idle indicator light2 foot switch activated high idle indicator light3 engine rpm select button6 Turn the key switch to platform controls.7 Push the engine rpm select switch until lowidle (turtle symbol) is selected.Result: The engine should remain at low idle.8 Press down the foot switch.Result: The engine should remain at low idle.9 Push the engine idle select switch until highidle (rabbit symbol) is selected.Result: The engine should change to high idle.B-12Test the Ground Control OverrideGenie specifications require that this procedure beperformed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichevercomes first.A properly functioning ground control override isessential to safe machine operation. The groundcontrol override function is intended to allowground personnel to operate the machine from theground controls whether or not the EmergencyStop button on the platform controls is in the on oroff position. This function is particularly useful if theoperator at the platform controls cannot return theboom to the stowed position.1 Push in the platform red Emergency Stopbutton to the off position.2 Turn the key switch to ground controls.3 Pull out the red Emergency Stop button to theon position at the ground controls.4 Start the engine and operate each boomfunction through a partial cycle.Result: All boom functions should operate.5 From the platform, activate the foot switch andoperate each boom function.Result: No boom functions operate.6 Pull out the red Emergency stop button to theon position at the platform controls.7 Activate the foot switch and operate eachboom function.Result: No boom functions operate.
