Service Manual September 2015Checklist D Procedures70 ZX-135/70 Part No. 21870011 Manually rotate each wheel at the circle-end ofthe machine.Result: Each wheel at the circle-end of themachine should rotate with minimum effort.12 Re-engage the drive hubs by turning over thedrive hub disconnect caps. Rotate each wheelto check for engagement. Lift the machine andremove the blocks. Lower the machine.Collision hazard. Failure tore-engage the drive hubs couldresult in death or serious injuryand property damage.All models:13 Be sure the free-wheel valve on the drivepump is closed (clockwise).Note: The free-wheel valve should always remainclosed.1 drive pump2 screwdriver3 lift pump4 free-wheel valveD-3Replace the Drive Hub OilGenie specifications require that this procedure beperformed every 1000 hours or annually,whichever comes first.Replacing the drive hub oil is essential for goodmachine performance and service life. Failure toreplace the drive hub oil at yearly intervals maycause the machine to perform poorly and continueduse may result in component damageDrive Hubs:1 Select the drive hub to be serviced. Drive themachine until one of the two plugs is at thelowest point.2 Remove the plugs and drain the oil into asuitable container.3 Drive the machine to rotate the hub until theplugs are located one at the side and the otherat the other side.1 drive hub plugs4 Fill the hub with oil from upper plug hole untilthe oil level is even with the bottom of themiddle plug hole. Install the plugs. Refer toSpecifications, Fluid Capacity Specifications.5 Repeat steps 1 through 4 for all the other drivehubs.
