The APRS feature uses the location information to transmit the position information,data and messages, using the format developed by Bob Bruninga WB4APR.Upon receiving an APRS report from a remote station, the direction and distance to theremote station from your station, the speed of the remote station, and other data sent bythe remote station may be displayed on the LCD of your transceiver.Example of display whenan APRS signal is receivedSetting several station parameters, such as the call sign and symbol is required beforeusing the APRS function (initial settings).For details, refer to the APRS Function Instruction Manual which is available on the Yaesuwebsite.
