Adjusting the throttle body synchronization1. Adjust:•Throttle body synchronization••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••a. Start the engine, warm it up for several min-utes, and then let it ru n at the specified en-gine idling speed.Engine idling speed1100-1300 r/ mlnb. Using the throttle body that h as the bypass airscr ew "1" with a w hi te paint mark as the stan-dard, adjust the other throttle bodi es by turn-ing its bypass air scr ew in or out.ECA 1ACl301NOTICE~~~~~~~~~~~~Do not turn the bypass air screw (white paintmark) of the throttle body that is the stan-dard. Otherwise, the engine may run roughlyat idle and the throttle bodies may not oper-ate properly.TIP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~•Tu rn the byp ass air screw using the carburetoran gl e driver.• After each step, rev the engine two or threetimes, each time for less than a secon d, andcheck the synch ronization again.• If a bypass air sc rew was removed , turn thescrew in fully and be sure to synchronize thethrottle bodies.• If the throttle body synchronization can not beadjusted using the bypass air screw, clean orreplace the thro ttl e bodies.• The difference in vacuum pressu re betweenthe throttle bodies should not exceed 1.33 kPa(1 0 mmHg).Carburetor angle driver 290890-031733-9PERIODIC MAINTENANCE2.
