REMOVING THE OIL PAN1. Remove:• O il level switch "1"• O il pan "2"• O il pan gasketTIP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Loosen each bolt 1/4 of a turn at a time, in stag-es and in a crisscross pattern. After a ll of thebolts are fully loosened, remove them.EA~990CHECKING THE OIL STRAINER1. Check:• O il strainer "1"Damage -+ Replace.1Contaminants -+ Clean with solvent.1INSTALLING THE OIL PAN1. Install:• Gasket l@@ll• Oi l pan "1"Oil pan bolt10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf)• O il level switch "2"Oil level sw itch bolt10 Nm (1.0 m·kgf, 7.2 ft·lbf)• Engine oil drain bolt "3"OIL PANEngine oil drain bolt43 Nm (4.3 m·kgf, 31 ft·lbf)A wARNINGAlways use new copper washers.TIP ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~-• T ig hten the oil pan bolts in stages and in acrisscross pattern.• Lubricate the oil level switc h 0-ring with li thi-um-soap-based grease.25-55 |
