CHARGING SYSTEMTROUBLESHOOTINGThe battery is not bei ng charged.TIP~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~• Before troubleshooting, remove the fo ll ow ing part(s):1. Rider seat2. Rear side cover1. Check the fuse.(Main)Refer to "CH ECKING THE FUSES"on page 8-93.OK !2. Check the battery.Refer to "C HECKING ANDCHARGING THE BATIERY" onpage 8-94.OK !3. Check the stator coil.Refer to "C HECKING THE STA-TOR COIL" on page 8-102.OK.!.4. Check the rectifier/regulator.Refer to "C HECKING THE RECTI-FIER/REGULATOR" on page8-102.OK.!.5. Check the entire charging system'swiring.Refer to "CIRCUIT DIAGRAM" onpage 8-13.OK.!.The charging system c ircuit is OK.NG~NG~NG~NG ~NG ~8-15Replace the fuse.• Clean the battery terminals.• Recharge or replace the battery.Replace the stator co il assembly.Replace the rectifier/regulator.Properly connect or repair the chargingsystem's wiring. |
