Chapter 5: Local Management5-626H128-08 and 6H129-08 User’s Guide5.18 SWITCH CONFIGURATION SCREENThe Switch Configuration screen, Figure 5-24, provides the basic setupoptions to make a switch operational in your network.To access the Switch Configuration screen from the ModuleConfiguration Menu screen, use the arrow keys to highlight the SWITCHCONFIGURATION menu item and press ENTER. The SwitchConfiguration screen, Figure 5-24, displays ports 1 through 8. To view oredit the fields for ports 9 to 12, highlight [9-12] at the bottom of thescreen and press the ENTER key.NOTEThe Switch Configuration screen will not be available if theoperational mode of the module has been set to SECUREFAST VLAN. This screen may only be used by modulesconfigured to operate as 802.1D or 802.1Q switches.NOTEPorts 7 and 8 on the Switch Configuration screen represent theoptional Fast Ethernet Interface Modules available for the6H12X-08.Ports 9 through 12 represent the backplane connections thatthe module has with the 6C105 chassis. The module has adirect connection to every other slot in the chassis.
