6-2 Speed Dialing Chapter 6What is Speed Dialing?Speed dialing allows you to streamline and customize dialing procedures by registeringa fax/telephone number and name under a button or code. You can then dial thatnumber by pressing only one or a few buttons.Speed Dialing MethodsThe three speed dialing methods available with your copier/fax are as follows: One-Touch Speed Dialing (2 p. 6-3)One-touch speed dialing allows you to send a document or dial a telephone number bypressing only one button. You can register up to 12 destinations for one-touch speeddialing. Coded Speed Dialing (2 p. 6-6)Coded speed dialing allows you to send a fax or dial a telephone number by pressingCoded Dial followed by a two-digit code from 00 to 99. While coded speed dialingrequires you to press more buttons, it allows you to register up to 100 destinations. Group Dialing (2 p. 6-9)Group dialing allows you to dial a group of registered one-touch and/or coded speeddialing fax numbers. By registering a group for one-touch or coded speed dialing, youpress only one or three buttons to send the same fax to several destinations.The following pages describe how to register numbers for speed dialing and how tosend using speed dialing.
