This alarm will look at all RTDs that haveeither an alarm or trip programmed and determine if an RTD connection has beenbroken. Any RTDs that do not have a trip or alarm associated with them will beignored for this feature. When a broken sensor is detected, the assigned outputrelay will operate and a message will appear on the display identifying the RTD thatis broken. It is recommended that if this feature is used, the alarm be programmedas latched so that intermittent RTDs are detected and corrective action may betaken.RTD Short/Low Temp PATH: SETPOINTS ZV S8 RTD TEMPERATURE ZV RTD SHORT/LOW TEMPThe 469 has an RTD Short/Low Temperature alarm. This alarm will look at all RTDsthat have either an alarm or trip programmed and determine if an RTD has either ashort or a very low temperature (less than –50°C). Any RTDs that do not have a tripor alarm associated with them will be ignored for this feature. When a short/lowtemperature is detected, the assigned output relay will operate and a message willappear on the display identifying the RTD that caused the alarm. It is recommendedthat if this feature is used, the alarm be programmed as latched so that intermittentRTDs are detected and corrective action may be taken.
