NT5D33 and NT5D34 Lineside E1 Interface cards Page 275 of 906Circuit Card Description and InstallationThis cable consists of a 25-pair amphenol connector (P1) on one end whichplugs into the I/O panel. The other end has 4 connectors:1 a DB15 female connector (P2) with an adapter that breaks out Tx(transmit) and Rx (receive) connectors, which that plug into the E1 line2 a DB9 male connector (P3), which plugs into an external alarm system3 a second DB9 male connector (P5), which connects to an MMI terminalor modem4 a DB9 female connector (P4), which connects to the next LEI’s P4connector for MMI daisy chaining. The Tx marking on the adapter at P2is the LEI output. The E1 data stream coming from the network into theLEI connects at the Rx coaxial connectorTable 102 shows the pin assignments of the LEI backplane and I/O Panel.Table 102LEI card – LEI backplane and I/O panel pinouts (Part 1 of 2)Backplaneconnector pinI/O Panelconnector pin Signal12A 1 E1 Tip, Receive data12B 26 E1 Ring, Receive data13A 2 E1 Tip, Transmit data13B 27 E1 Ring, Transmit data14A 3 Alarm out, normally open14B 28 Alarm out, common15A 4 Alarm out, normally closed15B 29 No connection16A 5 No connection16B 30 Away from MMI terminal, receivedata
