SPECIAL MODES5-55Dual page copyThe dual page copy function produces separate copies of two documents placed side by side on the document glass.This function is especially useful when copying books and other bound documents.[Example] Copying right and left pages of a book1 Touch the [DUAL PAGE COPY] key on thespecial modes screen.The [DUAL PAGECOPY] key will behighlighted to indicatethat the function isturned on, and the dualpage copy icon ( ) willappear in the upper leftof the screen.2 Touch the [OK] key on the special modesscreen.You will return to the main screen of copy mode.3 Place the originals on the document glass.When copying a thickbook, press down lightlyon the book to flatten itagainst the documentglass.Place the opened original on the document glass sothat the first page you wish to copy is on the right andthe center of the original is aligned with the size mark.4 Ensure that 8-1/2" x 11" (A4) size paper isselected.If 8-1/2" x 11" (A4) sizepaper is not selected,touch the [PAPERSELECT] key to select8-1/2" x 11" (A4) sizepaper.The dual page copy function can be used onlywhen copying from the document glass.
