For your department code, ask theadministrator.Memo• Specify a department code in 1 to 63-digit alphanumericcharacters.• A department code must consist of one-byte characterssuch as numbers from 0 to 9, letters of the alphabet fromA to Z (in both capital and small ones), a hyphen (-), anunderscore (_), and a period (.).2) Print ModeThis sets the type of print job.- Normal — Select this to print a job normally.- Proof — Select this to print the first copy of a multicopyjob and then wait for approval before printing theremaining copies. If a print job is sent as a proof job,one copy of the job is printed and the remaining copiesare saved in the proof job queue on this equipment,which are not printed until you activate printing from thetouch panel display. This option allows you to check thejob’s output before printing the remaining copies andthereby reduce paper waste.- Private — Select this to print a private job. When thisis selected, specify the 5-digit password in the field nextto the box. The print job is saved in the private jobqueue on this equipment, and not printed until youactivate printing from the touch panel display of thisequipment. This option is useful when you want to printa confidential document secured with a password. Theuser has to enter the password to print the private jobwhen activating printing from the touch panel display.- Hold — Select this option to print a hold job. The printjob, sent as a hold job, is saved in the hold job queue onthis equipment. To perform printing, select the desiredjob on the touch panel display and press [PRINT]. Thisoption is useful to prevent you from forgetting to removeprinted sheets.3) Distinguish Thin LinesSelect this check box to print thin lines clearly.4) Do not Print Blank PagesSelect whether you require blank pages to be printed.Note• When more than 2 is selected at the [Page per Sheet]option in the Layout menu, the blank pages will beprinted.• Pages with a header or footer will be printed even if thecontent is blank. Printer FeaturesIn the Printer Features menu, you can set special printingfeatures.FinishingIn the Finishing menu, you can set the destination and stapling.1) DestinationThis selects the destination tray.- Printer’s Default — Select this to set the output to thedefault tray (that is set as such for raw jobs in theMachine setting page of TopAccess Administrator’spage).- Face down/up stacker — Select this to set the outputto the face down/up stacker of this equipment.- Tray 1 — Select this to set the output to the tray of theFinisher.Note• Destinations selectable differ depending on the optionconfiguration.• Depending on the equipment settings, the paper may bedelivered to a tray that cannot carry out stapling when[Printer’s Default] is selected as the [Destination] option.2) StaplingThis sets whether a print job is stapled.- Off — Select this to print without stapling.- Upper Left (Portrait) / Upper Right (Landscape) —Select this to staple on the upper left for a portraitdocument, or on the upper right for a landscapedocument.Note• This option cannot be selected if a Finisher is notinstalled.12
