Using thiskey you can force messages to print, although print qualitymay be poor because toner is low. This key is also used toprint confidential fax messages received into mailboxes inyour fax machine’s memory. Refer to the “AdvancedOperations, Confidential Faxes (Security Feature)” sectionof this handbook.When no messages are in memory, use this key to print acleaning page to clear accumulated toner from the imagedrum. Refer to the “Problem Solving, Printing a CleaningPage” section of this handbook.Signal TonesYour fax machine makes a number of sounds to inform youof specific conditions.Key Select tone: This is a short beep that occurs every timeyou press a key.Error tones: If you press a wrong or inappropriate key, yourfax machine emits three short beeps. If it experiences aproblem during communications, it emits three long beeps.Press the Stop key to turn the error tone off, then print aMessage Confirmation Report to check the source of theproblem—to do this, press the Copy key twice with nodocuments loaded.Voice Request tone: During a fax session, either you or theperson at the remote fax machine may initiate a voicerequest. When the person at the remote machine eitherinitiates or answers your voice request, your fax machineemits a repetitive warbling sound.End of Session tone: At the end of every successful faxsession, your fax machine emits a short beep to inform youthat there were no errors or problems in thecommunication.Off-Hook Alarm tone: If it is equipped with the optionalhandset, and if the handset is left off the hook, your faxmachine emits an intermittent warbling sound. To turn offthe sound, hang up the handset and press the Stop key.
